About Me

I'm Nami — and if you've ever felt like you were too much, too weird, or just built for a world that didn't exist yet, you're in the right place.

I'm a licensed beautician, cosplayer, Twitch streamer, and lifelong anime lover with a deep love for Japanese culture that's been part of me for as long as I can remember. I grew up as the odd one out — and I found my people in convention centers, online communities, and fictional characters who taught me more about resilience than most real-life advice ever did.

Now I create spaces for people like us. Through my podcast Room for You: A Side Quest to Self, my streams, and everything I build — I want you to feel what I spent years looking for: a room where you actually fit.

Mission For My Podcast

This isn't a self-help podcast with a whiteboard.

Room for You is a soft, steady space for people who have been told they were too much, too weird, or too sensitive. It merges fandom, healing, creativity, and community into something that feels less like content — and more like a couch to collapse onto when the world gets heavy.

My Vision

This podcast started as a door I wished someone had left open for me.

But the vision is bigger than my podcast.

I want Room for You to grow into a full community — a place where the weird kids, the sensitive souls, the anime lovers, the cosplayers, the creatives, and everyone who never quite fit the mold can find each other and build something real together.

I want to explore Japan through this lens. Talk to people who've walked similar paths. Dive deep into the fandoms that shaped us. Celebrate creativity in every form it takes.

The episodes are just the beginning. The real goal is the room itself — warm, growing, and always making space for one more person at the table.

What Drives Me

I remember what it felt like to be the weird kid with no room. Quietly unseen.

I never want someone else to carry that silently.

This podcast exists because anime, cosplay, and community saved me — and nobody was talking about it that way. I'm not here from a finished place. I'm here working on my healing journey alongside you.

If one person hears themselves in something I say and thinks "I'm not alone" — that'll mean everything to me.
